My sisters and I wanted to publish a book of my grandmother’s poems.  None of us had ever published a book before.  Thank goodness we were steered to ElisaDesigns.  Elisa had good suggestions about the type set and creating a cover.  We added family photographs and even had an artist illustrate some of the poems.  She was great in getting all of this positioned to its best advantage in the book. All of her work was accomplished in a timely and professional manner.   During this entire process she remained a calm, delightful person to work with. All three of us have high praises for her.  If I do another book my first phone call will be to Elisa!

Elisa Barger is simply brilliant.  When I met Elisa, we shared ideas and devised a marketing strategy.  She has taken our ideas from concept to completion, and created a package that I am very proud of.  Elisa is delightful to work with – witty and charming, but most of all, she makes sure that I and all her customers are delighted with the finished product.  She is not satisfied until her customers are satisfied.  I would gladly work with Elisa again – and I look forward to doing so!

Many book covers, especially for poetry, are static. When I brought Elisa a painting of a reclining woman – beautiful but also without movement – she found an innovative way to add interest while remaining true to that image and the content of the book. By duplicating and layering the image, she made the title “Wake Wake Wake” come to life.

Valerie Nieman’s collection is a worthy one and the cover is sumptuous, too.

“I took the liberty recently of displaying your business card at a book signing. Even spoke to several people about your work. I still love the work you did for me.”
